Lamborghini Centenario

The new Lamborghini Centenario represents a new, extremely precious piece in Lamborghini's one-off strategy. It is a perfect example of the innovative design and the engineering skills of the bull-branded manufacturer.

The best tribute to the 100th anniversary of the birth of Mr. Ferruccio Lamborghini, a man who managed to create a world-class brand, and who always believed that nothing is impossible, thus producing legendary and extraordinary vehicles that made history for super sports cars.

The Centenario is an homage to this visionary man and to the future he believed so much in. And we at Lamborghini still believe in that future. Find out more: from the performance to the dimensions to the unique characteristics to the detailed technical specifications of the Lamborghini Centenario.

Here are the technical characteristics of the Lamborghini Centenario: equipped with a 770 CV aspirated V12 engine springing from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.8 seconds, the newly-born Lamborghini car has been produced in a limited edition, for a total of 40 models: 20 Coupés and 20 Roadsters will be delivered to Lamborghini collectors and fans starting from 2017.

The Centenario has been conceived with the purpose of exploring new technological and design opportunities, to look at the future through the lens of innovation. One of the most exclusive (and sought-after) cars in the whole world.

To commemorate Ferruccio Lamborghini's 100th birthday, Lamborghini released a limited-edition supercar based on the Aventador at the March 2016 Geneva Motor Show.40 cars (20 coupes and 20 roadsters) were produced, all of which have been sold. Contrary to the rest of Lamborghini's lineup, the Centenario's design was rumored to be "not as extreme" compared to other wedge-shaped supercars. Power comes from a tuned version of the Aventador's 6.5-litre V12 producing 759 hp (770 PS), a hybrid powertrain is possible. The car, which costs just under €2,200,000, was unveiled at the March 2016 Geneva Motor Show. Lamborghini Centenario has a power to weight ratio of 1.97 kg (4.34 lb) per horsepower.

In the same year, Lamborghini unveiled the Centenario LP 770-4 Roadster. The only changes in design are the open top and rear engine door. The first unit made has simple light silver paintwork. The weight of the car has also increased, now set at 1,570 kg (3,461 lb).
